I have a 125 gal brackish tank and have 2 scats 3 archers 2 columbian sharks.
First the 2 scats chase each other is this normal or should i get a school of 3or 5 in it?
Second what other interesting brackish water fish would go in my tank?

Thanks for any info!!!!!!!!
Tony

yeah i would get one more scat.
you could get some monos or (i you want) some molies. (they kinda suck, i know)

what kind of scat? love them tigers!!

There just silver scats i got from petco, I was thinking of something odd, as in a center peace. I guess there realy isn't a BIG COOL brackish fish is there.
Don't get me rong, i love my brackish tank, the scats or my favs., but im just looking for that one fish that when compeny comes over, they would have to stop and say WOW!! Look at that, if you know what i mean..
I was looking at this dragon goby. Not sure though.
The SG is 1.012-1.014 and i was thinking of raise it to 1.015-1.017. I think that the scats and shark cats need to be in the higher SG , not sure about the archers.
Anyway, thanks for the reply

Butis Butis are cool fish, play dead by floating on the belly."fresh water" Moray eels are nice. Stone fish are quit ugly in a intersting mannor. Anableps are a sure conversation fish(love 'em my self). Mangrove Jacks are cool, but very aggresive. Silver dats can take brackish water, but not too high.

My scats kept dying untill I got a group of 4. After that had 0 problems.

Target fish are supposed to be pretty neat. I haven't had any luck finding any though.

I wouldn't go much higher than 1.012-1.014. Many brackish water fish are housed in FW at LFS, so higher salinity will make the transition more difficult for new arrivals. When I've had brackish tanks in the past, I found that 1.010 was a good "happy medium" for keeping many brackish species. Plus, I saved on sea salt when compared to higher SGs. :)

A Stonefish would be an interesting addition. I know the Bullrout (Notesthes robusta) can handle brackish water. I don't know where you could find one...and it may eat everything in the tank. Be careful with these guys...they hurt.

Target fish... I'm working on one now. I'm thinking of getting him aclimated to full salt and trade in my fish in thats in my 55 and make it salt. I'm still kind of up in the air on it though. I think it would be cool to have a bamboo shark and a target fish together.
