are you absolutely sure that those bubbles were not there before you filled it? it can be difficult to see them unfilled because there is no light on it.

bubbles in that location are usually formed when the tank was initially sealed, and are of no concern because the seal at the edges is solid and the bubbles are there forever.

the seal you took a pic of looks pretty even and good.

I would not be worried unless the bubble move/change when you press on the glass.

if they do - trouble

if not- they were there from the beginning and you have no cause for concern. most tanks have the odd air bubble in between the glass panels if you look close.

I have a hard time thinking i would have missed them, it may be the stand it is quite the POS....... I hope not. ill take some more pics and see what you guys think i took those pics with a cell phone my Gf has a camera i didnt know where it was :p

and WTF i saw the eel at meijers....he was my first fish ever he was selling as a tire track eel and i never second guessed it...... I feel really stupid. I thought he was gonna be a monster :( oh well, still love him.

peacock eel and tire track eel are basically the same thing, just different patterns. They are however, not anything similar to an armatus.

look up hydrolycus armatus, then look up tiretrack/peacock eel and compare. like you said, your kind of a noob when it comes to the hobby, but thats why were are here to help with your fish problems

confusing... live aquaria is selling mastecembelus armatus as "tire track eel" ..... could you send me a link please for a good page about whatever it is i have.

In the full tank shot, is that a gap I see between the tank and stand in the middle, or is that just the way the light is hitting it?

its its the styrofoam that was under my 100 gallon i reused it because i had no idea where to get more

My little tanks have never had bubbles in the seams since I imagine its pretty easy to lay a nice solid bead along the glass.

Where as my current 80g has quite a few bubbles in the seams. I got worried when I first got it too. But after numerous phone calls, people assured me I didn't have to worry that it happens.

I bet they were there before you filled it and you just never noticed. But now that its full you're paranoid and starting scanning lol

That gap in the middle of the tank looks kinda sketchy. Also be aware, if it is faulty and something happens to the tank, they will not cover it under warranty because you don't have it on an Aqueon brand stand.

thats some serious bs I just may gt one this stand is a piece of crap. the reason i kept the styrofoam is because i figured it would reduce the stress on the bottom of the tank. there are really big holes in the stand where if the foam werent there it would be like 12' x 20' gaps where the tank bottom would be fully exposed. guy i got the aqueon from said this is acceptable because the bottoms are heat treated.....whats the scoop ? should i try ditching the foam ?
