Sorry had problems with uploading photos.
Thanks for all the kind words and interest in my thread.
Seeing as plumbing has started it is time to sort the sump.
Now for this I have gone 2 separate tanks.
A 4x2x2 for a K1 moving bed filter and a 6x2x2 for mechanical filtration.
So water flows from the tank into the 4x2x2 then into the 6x2x2.
I bought the tanks and added the dividers to where I wanted them for the sump.
^^ That is the K1 tank.
Now to stop the K1 from going places where it should (I had this problem in my last setup) I rigged up this setup.
40mm pipe with holes drilled covered in gutter guard to keep everything in place.
That's how we do it here.
Well each to their own I guess.
Being first helps break down solids and the water that's flows into will be the most polluted so to speak.
So better off in my eyes.
Though I don't think it would really matter.
From my understanding you want to keep the k1 clean and free of waste.
It only makes sense to have the mechanical first getting rid of most of that waste(solids), and letting the k1 do the rest.
Awesome tank but it sounds like you need to swap the order the tank drains into your sumps.
It would make for a much more effiecient system.
