congrats for the pickup!!!!!!:) but how do you know that this juveniles are a pair ???
They will grow very fast and are one of the prettiest Snakeheads!!!
Dont att them to the Stewartii C.Aurantimaculata and C.Stewarti are to similar soon or later there will be some dead Snakeheads in the tank.
The female died 2 Days ago.....:cry: she was ill but i have 4 other at 20 cm and there is another pair....:D

you cant see if there are males or females at this size and mine is about 38 cm .... when they get bigger the male have more color on the head(blue) and a larger Head and throat...
 
Siciliano. I just meant that i had two. not a breeding pair. I also mentioned that they were both male. So i hope they're not trying to breed. My tank will just be messy

Thinking of getting some more of these, my lfs has a few in now.:)
 
19cm is a Juvanile. My largest is now about 15" my smallest which is about 20cm still looks immature in shape, Snakeheads.org is wrong if thats what thay have said. Phulltank57 has got pics of two at 18" which is there max size.

I have found the older thay get there appitite for fish lessons moving over to invertibrate based food. My biggest loves Locusts.

Definatly one of my faverites.
 
thanks for the info jelly. I've got 2 out of 4 of my favourite channas. the stewartii and the auranti. All i need know is the pleuro and a barca. But the barca is NEVER gonna happen. Unless ashdavid breeds them and sends a couple my way :D
