Hey Guys

Been a little while since i last posted but today on my travels i found a cichla i had never seen before, of course i had to bag them right up and bring them home, unfortunately one has a bad eye which will never heal and the other has a swim bladder problem and often lays on the floor and can sometimes struggle to swim, both hit food within being in the tank 1 hour they are very skinny and likely have been fed little for some time so i relish the rescue mission here but i feel they could be very very nice fish. Take a look at some pictures and tell me what you think i have? my thoughts were Pinima

Any guidance on the swim bladder issue would be VERY appreciated as i have never come across this with first hand experience.

I coulnt help but throw in a pic of the other guys :P

Would definatly say Pinima great save and good luck...

Yeah definitely pinima. Whoever had them before you has seriously neglected them. I hope you can get them back to health. Definitely at a good home now.

Ah sorry Tim just got back in and i see i missed your call.

Yeah these look seriously neglected indeed, they did take a few pellet straight away to be honest which i was happy about at least the urge to feed is still there, i will just feed them hard for a while and bulk them up, of course this has implications. . . double water change routine :(

Now to read up on the old swim bladder.
