do you have anyother pics?? I would love to go. how was it??
They are good eating... Not fishy at all. Locals think they are the greatest thing ever... probably b/c how much revenue the nice little fish brings in! That will always make something taste a little better than it really does!

What about the catfish?Looks like it could have made for a nice meal.

I've read several times that they are a dark nasty meat, I guess that's why they hybridized them with tsn, size of and RTC and meat of tsn.

Interesting, store bought, farm raised catfish is just about my favorite fish to eat which was what got me thinking and asking about the red tail.I thought that they were hybridized solely for the prt trade though.

I know this is from Wiki that people can edit, but i have read this several other places. I'm no expert on this, it's just what I've read.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redtail_catfish

This is a clip from wiki:
It is said that the natives do not eat the meat of the Redtail catfish because it is black in coloration.[3] However, the redtail catfish has been hybridized with other fish such as the Tiger Shovelnose Pseudoplatystoma sp. through the use of hormones in attempts to create a viable food fish, the Tiger redtail catfish; these hybrid fish sometimes make it into the aquarium hobby under a variety of common names.[4]

OP let's see more PB pics, I love the dark green on that azul!!
