Sorry old thread but why start a new one on the same topic,I love these guys.I had a giant black one,wait,giant black milipede and it died after a year or so.It never molted and Im sure it was supposed to.I hear they need oak leaves or something for the calcium maybe.Any info,i realy want another.I loved wurm and the other ew comment at the start of this thread,lol.

. I think the prob you had whit your pede has to do whit the substrate level . Pedes need to burow in soft forest liter of several inches tick in order to molt. The molting process itself can thake many days to sucksed in a large animal. I´ll at least 20 cm of liter for a big one. And they do need calcium in the form of cuttle fish bone
