:WHOA::WHOA: yours color is so intense.. amazing. You are feeding them feeder, right??? Frequent water change??

Let me show you mine... you will have to look for them. The bigger ones are Shark's and smaller ones are Rapp's. The rest of them you should know.
The tank is 4' long 60 gal grow out. It's against the sun...

the reflection is me, that's right. Sorry Joey R1 if I disappointed you.

nice fishies.

Here are some brand new photos of the C. kelberi that I got back in early February. You can see how big they are growing. I think I see a small spot starting on one of the biggest one's anal fin...maybe wishful thinking though :)

Thanks Mike...so far an inch a month on average :)

Feeding your cichla must be costing you a fortune Brian. :) They are fat and healthy - plus you have some many. Always a great sight to see.

I was spending at least $15-20 in feeders a week to feed my 5 kelberi. I can only imagine your budget for feeders. I finally got my kelberi off live though, and they are on week 2 of exclusively eatting silversides. ($2.99 for a small box- and i've only used like 1/5 of the box in a week).

After another two weeks, lets see if we can get them onto some market shrimp and hikari. :)

Have you noticed a significantly more pronounced lower jaw with your Kelberi? I sold off one and am down to my last guy and couldn't help to notice that, at just under 6", his lower jaw seems to be much larger than I would expect, especially compared to my zullie boys in with him.
