Litterdam is usually used to hold the substrate without getting into the tracking. For instance, the piece underneath the Exo-Terra doors is called a litterdam.
What am I keeping? Most likely a type of odatrid rock-dwelling monitor. I am leaning toward the Varanus acanthurus acanthurus or Varanus pilbarensis. Most likely, it will be the red ackies. I realize that they can be kept in a 4'x2'x2', but I just want a display enclosure, not a collection.
