reads like the neighbor was deliberately annoying him. probably let er rip just to insult & goad him. it being summer, maybe a screen door?
sounds like the neighbor from hell.
 
TROLLing neighbor! my mom had one intimidating her, she was old & I was about ready to drive down & shoot his dog...coulda ended up in jail myself.
I guess the behavior was not equal, but trolls are happiest when someone responds like this.

thats what I was thinking. if my neighbor farted that loud, I'd probably move.

but I wouldn't pull a gun lol

a fart like that would bring down property values all over the street hahahaha
 
If my neighbor farted loud enough to hear I'd take it as being called out on my fartitude and challenge him to a fart off.
