Lep brought up a point I thought I had previous brought up. Self defense and stand your ground laws should also apply for those being followed as there's reasonable cause to fear for your safety. Like I said, big man like zimmerman following me in the middle of the night and showing no fear by following a hooded 6'2 figure, I'm swinging at him too

Because in most states including Florida, stand your ground applies when some one is committing what would be a felony crime against you. Following some one is not a felony, nor a crime. Stand your ground would not apply. Again, what if you were being followed by someone that was trying to give you your wallet?

Would you really immediately start fighting some one because you were being followed instead of initiating verbal contact first?

You have the right to ask the person following you what the heck they are doing and you even have the right to use some not so MFK friendly language in your request. You do NOT have the right to immediately attack the person and beat their head into the ground.
 
Lol, yeah ban me on a forum for a t shirt I wear. By the way an upside down American flag technically means we are in distress and need help. That's how I feel about America, that we are so screwed up we need to do something now or were gonna be the cruelest country on this planet pretty soon. That is what I mean by wearing it. That we are in need of immediate change, and help

Crazy how long this thread has gotten.

I'm 50-50 w/this case...
I don't know to much of the story and ive read that the kid (or shall I say adult) has had a small past w/the law.

My only Q would be... Why not shoot the suspect from the waist down? From the waist up, I see it as clear minded w/the intent to KILL (plus waist down is an automatic misdemeanor (don't quote me but im pretty sure)). Do I agree w/the death, no but that was the result of an act on impulse.
Everything is about statistics when the future can't be written so I would say he was on the wrong path and each additional crime was bigger (is this valid, yes. He can't justify because he is dead, only his life's foot steps can speak for him now. (Same w/suspect w/option to plan)). Example- a known gangmembers brother who gets extra time on his first offense because of Family's criminal history.

The press is where everything got blown up and I HATE them for that! There are murders all the time here in LA, even in rich cities (some do a good job of not letting it make the news). Race wars and race fights... nothing new over here.

What he was doing in that neighborhood, only God knows... I hope his intentions were good, R.I.P.

Guess we leave it in the hands of the judges... like any big fight, there will always be peeps against the results.

I hear North Korea is great this time of the year. For that matter any country in Africa, most of Middle East, most of Central and South America and a few other Asian countries are great too.

You have NO IDEA how good we have it here in the good Ole USA. Do we have problems? Sure, but there is a reason why people are trying to get here every day by any means they can.

For a country so diverse with so many different beliefs we are overall great people and very peaceful with each other. Look at countries where just two different denominations of the same religion have been cutting each others heads of for hundreds of years.
