hey all i just bought 6 5 star generals after wanting some for ages and ages... they are very rare here in the uk! i have put them in my 35g and im hoping to get a breeding pair/ group. has anyone any experience breeding these and any helpful tips. im guessing i will have to remove the others once a pair forms? i will throw up some pics as soon as they settle, they are only about 5cm and had great colour already at the lfs!-)

Very very nice mate I've never seen them in LFS my mate tried to order me some once but nothing ever came of it were they pricey? , apparently they are really aggressive once grown in comparison to reg jewels , hope you get a breeding pair (fry for evz ;))

hopefully, they look like they have good potential... ive read some storys, pound for pound the most aggressive fish ect, you know how i like my mean fish tho lol, midas, wyckii, butti, caribe being my current stock!-) got a 4 inch irwini in there that i picked upm today to grow for my big tank, been wanting one for ages. bit of food and the fish 110 pounds later but a happy fish keeper today!-)

I too love the aggressive fish mate ;)
I've got myself another irwini in the jardini grow out its only 2\3 "ATM , I lost my big one last year when lost the big jar :(, they take ages to grow uploadfromtaptalk1394924760241.jpguploadfromtaptalk1394924776234.jpguploadfromtaptalk1394924790942.jpg

Very nice, just need mine over 7 inch then he will safe with the wyckii I think... he should grow quick once in the big tank with the drip system!-)

Should be OK ;) my jardini picked mine up a couple of times but the spikes are a good form of defence :D
