breeding africans.....

we are all horrible "parents", Lol. full grown guppies, to what kind of africans?fed a bunch of full grown guppies to my africans..... they enjoyed them
the only thing I have breeding now are redhead geos.
my 180G finished cycling. when I pulled all geos from a 75G, I had one pair holding so I left them in there.
Now my husband watches them every night & talks about growing them out & selling. He says "There must be Thousands of those little- How much did you pay for those guys?- swimming around. If you even sold them for a buck each they'd pay for all these tanks & filters, maybe even our mortgage. I'm a capitalist. you should try."
I'm LOLLing @him, & say "Uhhh, there's not THOUSANDS... our lfs doesn't even carry geos" haha.
I dunno what to do. didn't plan on leaving this pair in there forever, much less "thousands" of fry!
he cracks me up. every night now, glued to the tank, talking about dollar signs.
my hobby must have strained his wallet.

This hobby strains all of our wallets lol...can't blame the guy for trying to recoup some cash.

I know, huh? I wouldn't put it past him to go down to the lfs and at least make a deal to trade geos for crickets so he can further ruin my, er HIS oscar. I cut him off from crickets. that darn fish knows the difference between him and me now. follows him around the tank begging for worms and ignores me. I even tested him by us walking in diff directions.
I'll never ever get it on pellets.
Seeing him with the fry, I feel kind of guilty. he's almost losing it. LOL.
Wonder if there's any fish I could make $$ on in the middle of nowhere?
So far , so good, the fry are only about 2 weeks old as of today. If after culling I get 50 to survive, Ill be happy.
