breeding arowana?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
any type, jards, silver, etc but i just wana know have anyone of ya ever had success? not from what youve heard.

grow up four babies in a tank together and let them pair off

it has been done, it can be done, jus not and every day common thing. i've never done it, and i dont think anyone on mfk has done it yet that i know of. many of us are trying to but it isn't as easy as some cons or cichlids. it takes over 3 years for an aro to mature and even then, we dont kno if we have a male or female, so we gotta grow out a few n hope for the best.

wow that is something

but those are asians, which I belive are easier to pair and to breed in a tank ( loads of guys are doing it in Asian countries ). I would love to see such a video with silvers or blacks ( even aussies )..As Ethnics says, lots of people are trying ( by trying one must mean having several aro's together or some that "behave" like a couple ) an dgive it time. Giving time, that is what we are doing.. one day we'll see a new thread about the sucess someone had...
