wait until she is pretty far along then move her. OR once you know there is fry, move her. Hate to move and she just have eggs.

I let mine hold for about 18 days or so, then i move the female to a ten gallon and she spits with in a couple hours to days. Then i put her back in the main tank right away. I dont leave her with the fry. I have never had a problem putting the females back and the more often she held the quicker she would spit after putting her in the ten gallon . Watch for lots of shaking and shimmying with slow circling of each other. Also the male might dart back and forth to the female and shake at her then later do the circles. Thats what most of mine have done.
