Breeding bettas need help

Thx postponing it for about a month to learn and research as much as I can and earn the money I figured it's gonna be around 80$ just for the fish the funny thing is all this started when I saw the half-moon plakats at petco lol mine will be much better quality tho.

I was thinking if I breed bettas and take the babies from that batch and breed them to a different color Betta and continue doing that I should get a new color and have a book or 2 published by I'm 16 I doubt it will happen bit ya never know
