I have a ten gallon and I'm inerested in breeding something in it. I thinking bettas might be a good choice. Does anyone have experience in breeding them? Can anyone tell me info about breeding them? Is it easy?

I strongly recommend against bettas. Getting the parents to breed is easy but,...The babies hatch so small, there is almost nothing you feed them. Plus as they mature you have to seperate all of the males.

If you have hard water how about shellies?
If you have soft water how about rams?

yes breeding the bettas themselves are easy but then raising the fry is pretty difficult. i know people who's had success but them its a pretty complicated process raising the fry

For sure, i've never seen one over 2.5''. A pair alone in a lightly planted 10 would be great.

Of course bigger is always better.

Cool I might look into getting a ram and getting a betta for a fish bowl.

Theyre a good bit smaller than baby guppies.

If you're just getting one ram you could get some small cories and tetras.

And if you put a betta in a bowl, try to do a big bowl in a warm area with some java moss and maybe some ghost shrimps.
