ive had senegals breed before.
they mature at about 1 year old,9-12 inches.
males have thicker,larger anal fins.
they always spawned in the floating bushy plants.
the ph was about neutral i think.
slightly acidic works best ive heard.
ive never raised them,i always let the eggs get eaten cause i didnt have anything to raise them in.
ive heard that breeding them is very easy when you have breedable adults,but raising the young is the hard part.

what do the sens look like when they are holding eggs? i have one that has been getting a big lump around the stomach area. it happeded once before but soon went away. could the sen have been pregnant? at that time their were multiple bichirs and 3 channa in the tank who could have easily ate the eggs.
i have about 5 other bichirs in the tank with the sen now and the lump is back again.
