Breeding Blue Crayfish

becareful housing them together in a small tank one cray may kill the other. thats what happened to me. learned my lesson the hard way. i've also had crays that get along just fine too so depends on the temperament i guess, my blue kills everything it can.
 
It is doable in a 10g but you could not house the male and female together. Procambarus alleni is the most common 'electric blue lobster' with P. clarkii's being second. The temperament of the allenii's is usually combative so one adult usually ends up dead if housed in a small tank together. If you set up the 10g with many many hides and levels to the tank you could house a lot of the babies with the mama cray for a while. It would be difficult to do for an experienced crayfish keeper.
