Thanks all, they set up right now! But had to use 10 gallon couldn't use my 20, i put in a red Texas from petsmart as a dither but if anyone could give me examples of that, here's a pic

forums, are great but you have to do some research on your own a red texas is not dither, and the need more than a 10 gallon, everyone said that and what do you do... also the texes's fins look tore
 
Your 10 gallon is fine for a pair of convicts, get your female really fat and u will be fine. In my 20 plus years i have never had a problem breeding convicts in a 10 gallon, also never needed a dither or any special tricks to breed convicts. Keep you fish fish fat especialy your female and you will be fine. I have a pair in a 10 now i use the babys to feed my small gobys.
 
Agree the 10gal will be fine for now... I have done it many times and your pair isnt full grown so dont worry.
