You can also leave the fry with the parents, cons are notoriously great parents and will protect their young from anything, including your handfun behavior to watch

Interesting, mine were generally fine, had two batches at the same time. They would generally chase the first batch away from the spawn site for the 2nd batch, but other than that they were okay. Guess my pair was mild

Yeah I've had the same thing happen several times. They are a pretty easy fish to breed for the most part. If only other cichlids were as easy though lol.
