breeding feeder guppys

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the warmer the temperature - the faster the will be born ( obviously don't try to raise it to 100 ;) ) you know what I mean.

An optimum tank would be a 29, you can do it in smaller tanks until they grow larger. I started my breeding pair in a 10.

pack the tank with java moss and keep them very well fed.

I can affirm this :)

Fill the tank with so many plants that the pregnant females cannot even move easily, so they cannot chase their brood.

You can keep the females together with the males in one tank until it is obvious that they are in the last stage of their pregnancy. Then you can put them into your green-tank and the rest will happen. Probably a few fishes might be cought by the parent but that won´t be many at all in that case. So much about my experience ;)

That's male. Females are the same as the fancy ones you see except they have little or no color at all.

that looks like a endler? i think same family as a guppy and will cross breed.
female guppies can mate once and produce offspring for the next 6 months without the help of a nother male, glad my wife is like that. lol
