breeding fh and parrots

with the resulting fry, did you get any fertile males? i forgot to add that question in the beginning

there still fry but when they come of age ill update MFK ////but the the male and the female both have red eyes so i would say that the chances are good

I've got a similar project I'm starting on today KABB

Don't know if any of the fish are fertile and this will be my first time breeding fish (besides live bearers), so I'm really hyped

good luck with your breeding. as soon as my male fh is mature enough, my parrot female will lay eggs for him. she is not very picky who she spawns with. she tried to spawn with a male brasiliensis, a male parrot, and a female salvini. i had to split her and the salvini up because they both kept laying eggs and stayed paired up.

But awesome pictures guys.. I got 4 Flowerhorns in line that may become good breeding pairs, just as soon as i figure out which is male/female...I got Red dragon, ZZ Malau, Golden Platium and another i have no idea... OH i got some Veja ZZ malau mix too...

You all inspired me to consider a breeding program...

yes it is lesbianism. that is why i had to separate them. they just took turns laying eggs and guarding them. the female salvini is with a texas now. the parrot is in with my male fh. i am hoping that if he grows up with her he will pair with her easier.
