heck yeah they are. i had to explain to my little sister what a gonopodium is.

Feel me!!!If female Mollies fart out 30-50 fry with every spawn , I would give this fish a tank or two.....For now, "Convict Nugget" are the main feeder treats...

with mollies it might turn into a chore,, they do not defend the fry [they eat them].
In fact I watched a huge pregnant molly have a few fry at a time over the coarse of 3 days. She ate everyone of them. Mollies drop [fry] every thirty days or so, but it seems like an eternity.

On the other hand, mollies are wonderful,, my favorites are red albino and white albino..
I love albinos ;]

You might get more fry out of black mollies, but this might just be my situation.

---I have alot more endlers and guppies than mollies, it might be more rewarding to set them up a tank or bucket. lol you can fit alot more female guppies in a 10 gallon than you can mollies ,,

also,, my male mollies fight the females,,

male guppies WILL mate with any and everything [all day]
- this includes but is not limited to
-other male guppies -neon tetras -the gravel vac -you

so give them 5 females per male guppy,, whatever the ratio, you will get your feeders..
:naughty:

I have guppies in a 55 that i hardly ever feed, they breed like crazy. They produce so many they feed themselver with the fry..Anyone know if its tue that they can have babys without a male a second time.

i get anywere from between 15-30 fry from my black mollies

I recently bought 2 pregnant platy's and one dropped about 50 fry a couple of days ago. The other one still has a few days left before she is ready. I just hope I can get the fry out of the breeder net before the next platy has to go in. But if you are wanting feeders for your P then I would stick with the convict babies. They are much larger than any livebearer.

Livebearers can sometimes have fry 2-3 times without a male present .With several weeks between batches! :nilly:

hello...
i would suggest kribensis... they are easy and really exciting... my ones had fry about 3 weeks ago and they look after them really well.
