I have 2 painted turtles and an yellow bellied slider
I want to breed some feeder fish and would love pointed in the correct direction!

Guppies are good, platies and mollies would work just as well. Not sure on the convicts and yellow labs tho, they may be just a bit to quick for the turtles to catch, if they can catch them that's great you'll never be out of food ever. Convicts can have upto several hundred fry at a time and can raise almost every single one upto sub adults. You get 1 male and 3 females and you'll have so many fry that the turtles will literally be swimming in food.

If you go with convicts the females will have an orange spot on their side males do not.
With live bearers look at the anal fin if it’s pointed it’s male rounded for female

If you want to feed live I’d go with guppies or mollies. Anytime I’ve tried to feed cichlids they seem to be just a little too fast. Now my turtles have fish friends?‍♀️

i do want to feed live!
my turtles eat their fish within the hour n then act all hungry until i get more - i also feed em their pellets n treats but it seems like i am constantly buying the feeder goldfish
how quickly will guppies n mollies breed?
and how do i tell male from female w those?

See my last post. Guppies are live bearers meaning that have live babies they do not lay eggs.
Pointed anal fin =male rounded =female
