I want to breed flowerhorns. My largest tank is a 55 gallon. 4ft x 1ft by 2ft tall. If I get 2 small flowerhorns(5") and they are male and female, should I be fine? The tank has 2 filters good for up to 100 gallons plus I do 25-50% water changes weekly.

pretty sure just one of those fish will out grow that tank^_^

At those sizes you shouldn't have a problem breeding them in that size tank, if the male is too aggressive your will need to divide the tank. They will outgrow that tank though as they grow more.

You can breed in that tank yes, but can't keep the fish in their for life... well actually, if the female is much smaller than the male you can... but if your planning on breeding, you will need mroe tanks anyway lol
