Breeding for MONEY

Keep in mind, unless you manage to do some really large scale breeding of something really sought after, discus, zebra plecs something like that. Bristlenoses and similar while easy to breed aren't exactly high priced. You're looking at being better off with a job at McDonald's.

I've bred and sold hundreds of pearl gouramis, hundreds of bristlenose plecos. They mostly sold for in the region of $2-3 each. I was probably breaking even on the cost of raising them to a sellable size.

that's why I tell people never to get their hopes up on breeding fish for money. you can't really make that much unless you're doing it large scale like on a segrest type farm or something. I just breed to pay for my hobby or to have pocket money for other things.
