i just started getting into geos lately,i have three geophagus pellegrinni(two females, one male)

they can be finicky fish, i would just let whichever ones that want to breed, moving them might stress em and then no babies

actually looks female to me, no trailers+not a ton of red head

it does not look like the females i have and the tube surely looks different from the two females i have. his/her tubes looks like my alpha male cuz its looks like a V. or it doesnt matter?

to answer your original question, can you remove one of a mated pair and introduce a new one? yes I did it. I had a colony of 9 OH's and had several batches of babies. My dominant male was pale compared to 2nd in command, so I removed the dominant male. The dominant Female chased the 2nd male for a few months which made his colors fade but they eventually mated. Funny thing is that the original male is now in my brothers tank and he is more colorful than the 2nd male...

in my opinion, the last pic looks like a female. as far as it fighting with your dominant male may in fact be courtship
if it is a female how would i try to make them breed? One thing i observe was that when the first female breed with the dominate male the other female has less color on the head and body while the female ready to breed colors up alot. As for the other one stays the same with the same glow to him/her and a orange head not reddish. that one colors up so much more. For some reason i dont believe it is a female but i could be wrong. once the dominate male breeds with the first female he then moves on to the second female and she colors up while the first just goes plain with less of a reddish head. just from my observations. tell me what u think? still female?

Sorry i meant when they are breeding that is what I observe the changes in color and sometimes wonder why this one never become as dull as the other female in my tank that is all. Well i guess i should see if this one is a male or female after removing the alpha for several months and see what happens. If nothing then i guess it is a female or the females doesnt like him...lol...Thanks for all the help!
