Breeding jags- questions

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, things didn't go as well as hoped. None of the eggs hatched, and now almost all are gone. Not sure if they were eaten by the parents or just burried in the gravel by the parents, but I don't see 'em anywhere. This was their first time as parents, so, as someone suggested, maybe they just need some practice. They're alone in a 110g, so I think I'll leave them in there and see if they can get it right next time. Thanks everyone.

I was wrong! :) looks like all of the eggs were moved under a rock that I missed, and now they seem to have hatched. Looms like hundreds of tiny little fry jumping about under the rock! I bought some fry food (squirt it from a tube) and have been feeding them once or twice a day, and still feeding the parents cichlid pellets. What's next? Just watch and enjoy? I plan to move the dry to another tank in a week or two. Thanks
