breeding jags

yeah, form keeping the different species, and doing reaserch that's what i have dedused, though it would be great to give that much space for jaguars, it's not the absoulte miniumum., the extra space is always great though. but a 120 should be fine, the only minor problem that comes to mind, is that is the tank has a footprint of 4'x2', rather then a 6'x18", which some have, other than that it's all good.

I had mine in a 120 and they never spawned but now I keep them in a 55 and they love it and spawn regularly.

I had run out of room in my fish room so A guy i know at a pet shop was keeping them for me at his shop..... thats how I found out that they liked a smaller tank.

All of the tanks at this pet store are on a central system and they are all 40gal tanks..... well they had never spawned for me in the 120 and within a week after they were put into the 40 they spawned so when I brough tthem home I put them into a 55 and they kept on spawning.

People kept asking to buy them so I told him if someone would pay 200.00 they could buy them and I did have someone that wanted them but I didn't think they would take good care of them so I kept them.

If you have room and want them you can have them......

thanks for the replies everyone. my tank is a 6' by 18." So im guessing just a smililar sized female shood be good. Now i just need to find a place to buy one, all ive seen was little 2 inchers at all the lfs's near me, with the exception of one 9 incher a few months ago but that one has been gone for awhile and if i remember rite it was male anyways.
