Just let the parents do their job. Do you have any tankmates with the jags??? If so you may want to remove them to another tank or add a divider to limit casualties, lol. Anyways, what exactly is your question? If your jags are solo then leave them be for a while, the parents will take good care of their fry. As the fry become free swimming you could siphon them out into a seperate tank if you like, although i did not and it was just fine.
 
You can just leave the fry in there.

do you plan on raising the fry for any reason? jags do not sell for much so there really not worth raising. i would raise about 5-10 and keep the best looking ones and trade the others in. the parents will probably eat the fry when there ready to spawn again.
 
Yeah but the way I see it is if you can get 50 cents a pc for them and there's 50 of them you still made 25 bucks :)
 
If you want to raise most of them up, it would be better to take the eggs out after they finished spawning. That way you will get the most yield but it is less challenging. You will not see how the parents do it naturally. The eggs will need to be hatch in another tank with a sponge filter. The parents will lay again within a months time. The babies don't have to have the parents to raise them. You will have to feed them at least twice a day and a lot of small water changes. Good Luck.
 
My jags eat their fry as soon as the become free swimming. No big deal though as in order to sell them I would have to raise them to about 3 inches and that is just not worth my time or effort.
 
My jags usually eat them about 2 weeks after they have hatched, so if I was trying to keep them I guess Id separate at about 10 days after hatch
