Just keep up with maintenance, water changes and keep everything the way it is supposed to be like temp etc. Not to big water changes tho. like 20% is fine. If you have tank mates in there you should put some rocks against the divider so there wont be any bucking between the fence. its alittle challenge to keep all the fry alive because they are so fragile. Make little little caves for the fry incase the parents eat them so they can hide from them after couple weeks or so. feeding, you can get some guppy powdered food for them for like 6$. Then later advance to flakes then smaller pellets and they wont grow fast unless you have a huge tank like a 180 cause then you would notice a great growth rate in them. Turn off lighting at end of day to decrease of algea growth cause its really hard to clean with the fry and parents in there nipping at your hand. I would recomend a bigger tank for you to, what size is it anyways? Filters, equpiment etc.... that you can get better help.

i have a 55 gallon tank with a whisper power 60 and a big sponge filter and im getting another whisper power 60 tomorrow the tank i put a divider in the tank because my jack dempsey ate all the eggs from the last spawn which was a week ago
and i have 2 10 gallon tanks with sponge filters ready for the fry
and i have a jack dempsey and electric blue jack dempsey and i was wondering if i can make money if they spawn because i want to upgrade to a 180 gallon aquarium but i dont have the money so im relying on my fish need make money

You wont really be able to make any money by breeding your jags. If anything you will be lucky if an lfs takes the fry off your hands for free. Although you def need to try and get alrger tank asap. How big is your pair right now?
Your jags must be pretty small to be in a divided 55 with a JD and an EBJD. A full grown Jag pair should at least have a 120 to themselves. I think fry do better with their parents than they do in separate tanks. I would only move the fry if the parents started to eat them. If you keep them in a divided tank with hungry JDs on the other side, you will lose fry anyway I guess. Keep the fry with the parents as long as possible, at least until the fry start wandering to the other side of the divider. Then you could net some to grow out in your other tanks. Try to get a larger tank as soon as possible. It will make breeding the Jags a lot easier. Once your Jag pair outgrows the JD (and they will) The JD will not be able to go near their fry. They will certainly kill the JD and any other fish that continually come near their territory and fry. If you can't sell the baby Jags you can always give them away to members here. A 55 is pretty much only room for 1 full grown JD. They may not be stressed now, but the Jags will not be happy in there for long.
right now the fish are all young except for the jack dempsey but i just got a 40 gallon tank for the jags only and the jd gets a 55 for him and a female ebjd who is is my grow out tank
what ever you do do not seperate the babies from their parents no matter what atlease for the first 3-4 weeks

my 30 gallon i got my 4 inch bicher and some discus that im getting soon
