Im all for hybrids. but this kind of breeding is the kind that ruins bloodlines. I dont think its a good idea to cross cichlids that look similar.

If the fish look like one of the parents and sold as that type of fish and not a hybryd. Selling a hybryd as a pure strain is almost as bad as releasing a fish in the wild.JteSchertz;4771787; said:

Yes it is possible. Originally had 2 batches of fry but parents went crazy while I was out of town and killed all but 5 all were the same size but within months one out grew the rest. And the aggression followed. It tried to kill my 2 of my oscars which it was not even close to the same size yet it wouldn't stop. I had to place it in its own tank
