Breeding leos

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks guys. They are already lighting up a bit. The larger one with the orange coloring is starting to brown where the stripes were once black. I hope she looks like her dad.

The problem is you got places like ptsmart that sell them for 25 bucks.I bread leos and beardeds for some time.Leos prices came down so much that after enjoying the breeding experience with that I decided to just keep the pets and then sold them to a friend. The beards made more money because I could sell them for 20 or 30 bucks each and they had much more at a time. The stores still ask a big price on them even for normals so it would be better I think that way only so many ppl breed both now.Like the other guys said,if you got a morph that is more sought after then sure, you still got buyers for that.Dont forget the feeding cost for the young.Im asuming you just want to breed a pair or what? Not an entire group.?

just a pair. well actually I have 2 females and one male

well I say like VF said ask around for buyers first but dont promise them anything in case you dont succeed.I would do it just for the experience, its an amazing feeling you get when you see them hatch out and wittness the new life at first hand.VERY rewarding even if its not the money, just dont go breeding the hell out of them if you cant find buyers. But at least have someone to sell to.You might ask VF about getting some more sought after morphs to mix in if you want to do more with them,if not then we wish you the best.Keep them puppies fed good.

yeah, it's mostly for the experience. Just knowing I helped bring new baby leos into this world!

Leopard Geckos were the first lizard species I ever bred. It's really not too difficult to do and most will breed without any effort on your part.

I've got 20 eggs incubating right now and here's a pair that hatched last week for me. Their father is a Tangarine Het Bell Albino and their mother is a High Yellow. I can't wait to see what they look like in a few months.

Sorry messed up here I only have two leo what I believe to be a male and a female. I plan to get one more females tho. They are still pretty young. I have some pictures. Do you guys think these are in any form "special" leos or are they just normals? And I know one is a little smaller than the other but they get along fine and are both eating well. Although the male is pretty skinny but that's only cuz I got him from petsmart:D

Just a high yellow and a tangerine. Fairly common.
Would love to have a tangerine group but they are still very expensive and hard to find here.:(
