I think that most rays are easy to breed.
Motoros are the most common and they are relatively hardy.
The key to breeding rays is keeping them alive long enough to have a sexually mature pair. It really comes down to nothing more than food and water changes.

I'm going to put a serious effort into breeding these guys in the coming weeks. I'm working on getting a trio and growing them out in my 120g. Expect to see a pond in my basement before the spring.
An 8' x 4' pond will cost you around $400 and hold somewhere between 440 - 500 gallons of water.
It has worked very well for me.

thnx for the info i really want to start to get into rays but i gotta save a little more maybe next summer
