Breeding of my Asian Forest Scorpion(Heterometrus sp.)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It really depend on the scorpions... some are more ravenous than others.

I use adult crickets with my B. jacksoni and they are in their 2nd and 3rd instar.

The whole period of pregnancy is roughly 6-8 months(I can't really recall) and I am glad that this girl has finally made it through. :):nilly:

I hope to get something out of my B. jacksoni someday.

Hi Kioka,

Thanks for the comment and suggestion. I shall try both mealworm and adult cricket for the scorplings in near future because pinheads are not always available though.

Good luck in breeding your B. Jacksoni, they are a much more beautiful scorpions.

I wouldn't trust an adult cricket either, but it depend on how ravenous your guys are. If they eat as soon you drop them in, then I wouldn't worry. If the cricket hang around all day, then I would worry.

Hi people, I have done some shifting of my photos from photobucket album and accidentally broken all the hotlinks.

I have now uploaded all the photos into the gallery here. Please feel free to look through from my album:

I will do more updates on the scorplings when there are obvious changes like first moulting etc.

Koika,

I totally agrees with what you said. I will surely worry too if the cricket hangs around for too long.
