Was wondering, somone wants to sell me a breeding pair of Black Ghost Knife Fishes. He is selling 4 of them around 7-10 inches for $70 for all four. He does not know which pair breeds every 6 months. What do you think?

So, this person says that he has a group of ghost knifes that are known to breed, not that he has a group that could breed?

If so, I'd jump on it. However, if it's the contrary, I'd only buy it if you want the fish themselves, as they are unlikely to breed in captivity.

He claimed that they bred in his 100 gallon tank. And all 4 of them get along in the tank. With those sizes, 7-10 inches, it is possible. Also if you search the net about the BGK, you would see people saying that they have bred the BGK in a fish tank.

yeah i wanna see pics of all those fry that would be crazy

I went ahead and bought them. Orginally he wanted $30 each for one. I believe that is a fair price for the size of the fish, 10 inches. They were a lot larger than what he stated. I got them for a deal, all 4 of them for $65. They look nice swimming together without fighting with each other.

To me $70 for 4 BGK's 7-10" is already a good deal.

If you are only interested because you want them to breed, you need proof that they have bred.

Yes, they are around 10 inches and the good thing about it they all get along. He had them together for 3 years. They were raised up together so I guess that is why there is no fighthing
