I think that turtle is way cool, but probably illegal in my state. Does he need a platform to rest on? I would like to keep one with my bass. What's his species?

Nope they are one of the few fully aquadic turtles. Depends on the temperment of the turtle this one is on time out from attacking a ray. It's a fly river turtle he's really mellow with fishes tho....just has a thing for rays.

the bigger one is the male the female is smaller and her vent tube is already coming down!!!
