breeding pair of reds?

Sorry to hear about the loss, but I thought I'd add a few.

I've tried comm-ing Erythrinus sp. together many times, and sometimes they'd kill each other, and other times I had them do fine, it really is hit and miss. But I've found that these are much less tolerable toward each other than Hoplias Malabaricus.
I've never had Malas attack each other, at any size.

As far as I know, no hobbyist has ever bred Erythrinus in captivity.
But people have bred Hoplias Malabaricus at less than half their adult size, I've heard of them breeding at 8 inches, so Erythrinus breeding at 4 or 5 inches shouldn't be too much of a feat.
