If you had a spare tank... which one would YOU breed? The following are my primary choices, please vote your favorite or recommend me a different one...

between festae and umbees but i voted for umbees, and yeah you should def add hondo jags to that poll i would have voted for that, if i had the tank space right now you better bet id be ordering me a bunch of juvies from rapps

I would breed the ones that have the best chance of being able to live long term in the smallest tank...if you go breeding dovii, umbee or Odo's...their chance of survival is minimal , or at least uncomfortable at best. Not many people have tanks big enough to house these fish properly when full grown.

Personally, istlanum would be my choice...they are some of the better looking IMO and are easily kept in 75 & 90 gallons, which is what most would consider a big tank.

Ive done festae and dovii myself and wouldnt do dovii again because it was literally impossible to rehome them and when I did, lots called me 6 months later asking me if I wanted them back. The festae were cool but are rather skittish by nature and killed all tankmates, even in my 265.
