I'm getting a fertile KKP female that i plan on breeding with my male carpintis. what should i breed the of spring to. ether a red devil or a mides.

honestly you're not going to end up with any amazing fry. If I were you I'd just breed the nicest female out of your spawn back with the father or another pearly/colorful fish.
I got my hands on a nice colored female Midas. so i think i will breed my male carpintis with the Midas.then find the nicest male out of that spawning and breed it with the female kkp. what do you all think the out cum of that would be?

I would personally rather crossbreed 2 different flowerhorn strains to come up with something new or a flowerhorn X purebred fish. All (well most) of the purebred species have already been crossbred. I'd rather make something nobody else has.
pick out the best fry and cull the rest. from there pick out a few males breed them with the female kkp untill you find a fertile one then you will get some very nice fry if you breed the kkp x carpintis babys with a mias they will not look good.
