Quarantine Tanks Are Preferred
Methylene blue is generally recommended as a bath or dip treatment -- don't put it directly to your aquarium unless your vet advises to do so. It is a powerful phytotoxin, which means it attacks most types of bacteria and other micro-organisms indiscriminately, even the beneficial ones. This is a primary reason why dosing the aquarium instead of a quarantine tank is a risk. The chemical is true to its name: It will stain the inside of your tank. Move your fish to a temporary holding tank before conducting bath or dip treatments.

as for F1 , a true WC is a fish that comes from its native waters, the released fish in Florida are tank bred and not true wild caught fish but the descendant of tank bred fish.

guess the word I am missing here is they are "demostic" stock fish.

you do not want to use MB in your tank, this will effect your bio filter, MB is good for baths/dips or a hospital tank/nursery tank, but not in the main tank.

I was referring to MB used in shipping fish. I know I've received fish with mb in the water from Jeff. Your info is right of course.

this is true, Just did not want the person thinking ok, to put in there tank, MB great stuff, not near as hard on the fish as green.
