I wouldn't wait to find out. Get rid of the pleco. I would't risk losing those valuable festae eggs.

I say it depends on the breeding situation. If you are going for a bare tank, on clay pot as a breeding site set up, then no a Pleco do no belong in that set up.
In some ways, i feel that the increase the paternal instincts of fish, give them something to defend against, and can help the overall process if the tank is large enough and depending on the pleco species.
Carnivorous plecos do not belong in breeding setups...

A breeding pair will breed again,leave the pleco in and see what happens. If it is an issue take him out before the next egg laying..
it is a 150 with a lot of decorations. It is a standard cheapo pleco, and it is like 3 inches and the pair is almost 9
In that size tank, let things go and see what happens. Make adjustments after this attempt based on the outcome.
