So iv started a breeding project and the female lays eggs but she keeps eating them is there a reason for this? Thank u!!

Its a blood parrot but her health has gone down hill lately and seems to be on her last leg from what I gathered from her last owner she is about 8 to 10 years old and lived in a 35 gallon tall with a male blood parrot she's now in a 100 gal she swims very weird but iv been told that can happen living in a small tank for so long, but since last week she seems to not want to swim around and stays on the surface on her side breathing seems normal but she's laid 2 times for my green texas (trying for red texas) but ate the eggs both times with the way her health has been going im getting more females and gonna c what happens
