I have a 6 inches male and 4 inch female red zebra cichlid. They have bred 4 times for me and just recently this will make the fifth but my female is constantly eating the eggs. She usually will hold the eggs for about a week before I start the notice that the part her Jaws are starting to get smaller and smaller until the eggs are gone. now I have tried moving the mail and female to another take I have moved them to a 46 bow front tank. After the male and female breed I usually remove the male but still the female doesn't hold the eggs she eats them. I know I could try hatching the eggs myself but I don't have an egg tumbler. Does anyone have any suggestions????IMG_20250416_202452020.jpgIMG_20250416_202438740.jpgIMG_20241125_114536554.jpg

In case of eating the eggs, they normally eat all eggs at once. The jaw looking gradually less full can indicate that the eggs are not fertile and start to dissolve. They normally don't dissolve all at the same time. I had this a few times with eggs in a tumbler. Every day one or two eggs started decaying till they all turned to slime.
