Breeding Rosy barbs in a bucket? Relentless chasing in aquarium

I had a breeding group of these barbs, kept them in a heavily planted sump/tank, lots of algae on the glass (unheated)... the eggs were invisible to me, and the fry, so tiny (again almost invisible), I would occasionally find clinging to the glass (almost as small as paramicium).
Some friends kept them in a shallow, breeder tanks with lots of marbles on the bottom, in that way the eggs would fall between the cracks, where the parents couldn't eat them.
After a bunch of eggs were "assumed" to be dropped, they would remove the adults, to let the fry develop unmolested.

here are some pics of the Barb's I got from my lfs 2 days ago. I was scared of the females because they got relentlessly chased by the males and I think one of them is pregnant, she has a larger belly than yesterday and there is a reddish mark on her mouth.What I wanted to know was could I just put the female in a bucket because I have no spare tanks and let her have eggs in there?

The endless chasing prompts the females to drop eggs which are then fertilized by the chasing males.

What’s going on is normal. I would suspect that once she drops her eggs some of the chasing will stop.
I would suggest adding additional cover for them and maybe play with the Male to Female ratio, less males than females.
