Any idea how old they are ?

Also as for fry there have only been a handfu of people who have produced them in captivity, but if memory serves from what i've read the father will mouth brood for ~3 weeks before releasing fry.

Thanks! That's great. They're roughly 2 and a half years old. I know that captive breeding is rare and figured that is why information is so hard to find about it. Can you suggest any good websites or books?

For breeding information there is little to nothing available, and even online researching them takes extra effort because so much incorrect information is out there.

From what i know spawning temperature is triggered at about 19-20 degrees. In the natural range that comes early spring followed by the rainy season, and water temperatures climb quite a bit to 25+ degrees, as rainy season ends the temperatures will lower and continue to lower over the fall into the winter. Winter lows are 15-16 ish.

That's based on what information i could find on the the seasonal variation of Brahmaputra River basin tributaries. Although exactly where they are collected or at what altitude could vary those numbers a bit, but that cycle will be very close to the natural range.

Video doesn't work for me...
