No I've never heard of that before. It also depends on what qualities you like. I could be possible that 10% would only be nice since 1000-2000+ eggs can be laid and you will probably end up with only 100-200 fry

I'd say .5" is good maybe smaller like .25". It depends on how well the parents are taking care of them
