It looks like the female has the red eye and male from goldish looking to blue eyes when they get larger. Is that fish of yours the male or the female?

by the way those guys are very nice looking when they get big! They really do a big color change

My male is the bigger one with the red eyes. The pair looks totally different when they aren't spawning. They are a beautiful bronze color until they start to spawn, they become this washed out white and black! They are a small pair, the male is about 6" and the female around 4". Can't wait to see them at adult size. I've seen Mo's pair in person and they are one of the nicest pairs I've seen!

So than you have seen that his female has the red eyes not the male. I find that very weird. I wish someone had a reason for this lol these thing tend to drive me nuts:D Yes though I agree they are very nice looking when they get larger. I actually like them in the white black breeding colors though quite a bit. It's the same way for me with bartoni though. I love them in breeding colors hate the way they look otherwise. These guys are at least attractive both ways:D
