Chevylife, here are a couple pics of your pairs offspring. These guys are between 3-4" and the largest is actually starting to put on some decent color. Lights were off in these pics but you get the idea. I'm actually a little excited because they've grown so slow and then over just the past 2 months they've just started packing on size. I'm hoping this growth spurt keeps going.

Notho2000, your pair looks great! I've been thinking about changing out my substrate to a light color to see what color differences I would see, but figured why mess with something that ain't broke. Are you raising up any fry?

Thanks Jake and Cal. I'm raising about 150 fry right now. They're about 3/4"- 1". The pair are presently guarding another large spawn of newly free swimmers in their tank.

Thanks Chevy. They're in a natural setup with a mixture of pea gravel and quickcrete general silica sand with a few boulders and some driftwood. They eat NLS and Hikari Food Sticks. The largest one, which I assume is male, is currently battling it out with a 4" umbee that's growing out in their tank. Lol
